Open source has experienced high and lows of a long, gray cloud happen when the bill that requires the europan union patenting all forms of innovation in computer field.
Fortunately the EU parliament rejected it, the open source community my relieved by the decision, but the danger still threatening patent still, except that policy in each country also influenced the development of open source.
